Just wanted say hi. I am new here. I have a son with HFA and a daughter with autism, son oldest almost 6, daughter will be 5 next month.
We got a dx for her 16 months ago, it has been hard, but she is getting better. She has been mostly non-verbal but she has been imcreasing a lot in the last month, lot's of talk and comprehension of language,, pretty soon I probably start to wonder what on earth I was thinking when I was so desperate for her to talk LOL,, sort of like my son, but oh boy, now nothing can stop that mouth of his from talking up a storm LOL..
They are both the joy of my life, a precious gift from God. Everyday I am Thankfull I have them and would not send them back for anything on this world.
