[font=Arial][size=2][font=Arial]Families and friends are taking the fight to end the autism epidemic to the ballot box. We are calling on both presidential candidates to commit to doubling federal autism research funding.[/font][/size][/font]
[font=Arial][size=2][font=Arial]Many of you have supported the Autism Epidemic Awareness Fund. The fund’s goal was to raise funds to run a nationwide television ad campaign challenging both candidates to turn their attention to autism. These ads, featuring Everybody Loves Raymond’s Patricia Heaton, CAN Board Member and Actor Anthony Edwards, and The West Wing’s NiCole Robinson will air next week during the Republican National Convention.[/font][/size][/font]
[font=Arial][size=2][font=Arial]Two 30 second spots will be shown on MSNBC, Thursday September 2 between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. during the live broadcast and also during the subsequent rebroadcast of Hardball with Chris Matthews.
