has anyone ever heard of an lolmachine before? its really bugging me, i dont even know what it does or what, my son and my daughter use the term loosely in there IMs i figured id ask around in a couple of forums to find out what it ment

Lol is like saying "haha" (it actually means laugh out loud, although some say it means love on line). I've never heard the term lolmachine though. Not sure if it has its own connotations. Apparantly there are other similar phrases such as "lollercaust."

Ok, per a "hip" friend of mine:

"Okay, here.* I should explain this.* Things like "LOLMACHINE" came around from the incessant use of "lol".* The Something Awful crowd got tired of it, and started making new variations, to take the piss of the overuse.

Example, lollercaust, lollerskates, roflcopter et cetera

The idea is when you say something like "LOLRUS" which is my personal favorite, you're not being serious."

In other words, the person using the phrase is basically saying something is dumb. OR, depending on the crowd, they could actually be saying that something is funny.
