Last night was a nightmare. My austic grandson is 4 years old and not potty trained. Last night he would not put on his diaper when going to bed. My daughter was on the floor with him attempting to get him ready for bed and he screamed and threw his body against my daughter so forceful that he knocked her over and would not get off her so she could rise and all the while screaming, flaying his arms and kicking his legs. He is tall for his age and very strong. It took both of us to get his diaper on. My daughter put him to bed in only his diaper due to the fact we were all exhausted from fighting with him just to get the diaper on him.
Note: My daughter is a 23 year old single parent and I am a 64 year old working grandmother. It gets so bad sometimes that when the weekend comes I look forward to returning to work on Mondays. I adore my grandson but he is certainly a handful. Thanks for listening, I needed to vent. Any help or insight you can give us will be greatly appreciated.
