hi
im a 17 year old A-level student. For most of my life i have admittedly had fewer friends than most, and also some perhaps obscure interests. Lately i've realised that its possibly autism that has made me like i am.
as i said i, until about a year ago, had very few friends and rarely left my house. I however managed to overcome that, and now heve a decent social life.
at school/college im known as being extremely talented in maths and science - and generally academically - i achieved 13 A-grade GCSEs. However i was known as being awful in PE lessons, the only sport i was vaguely good at being badminton.
I suppose my interests lean towards solitary activities. I used to love lego, and today i enjoy computer gaming. My interest in music is different to most peoples aswell. I do share these interests with some of my friends. I have no common interests with any adults> I have no adult friends, and have little in common with my parents.
I am also known for having a good memory, and i have no difficulty remembering constants I use for my Physics a-level. I've also managed to memorize pi to 50 decimal places!
I'm well known for my eccentricity and wierd sense of humour, and some people find me very funny and perhaps cute!. But i find most people at my college dislike me for my different interests and for just being "wierd".
Does anyone here think this may be autism?
