Hi! Im New Here

Hello. I am a single mother of three children. My youngest and only son is autistic. He just turned 3 this week. And so far, its been a long journey. It took changing Doctors to get this far. And I thank my inner mother instincts for getting us to this point. My son Micah is a gift. He has been attending a wonderful school. They have helped him in many ways. And helped me. I can not be more thankful. I guess the reason I joined this web site is to know Im not alone in this battle. To raising awareness and finding a cure. I believe my little boy will be cured someday. And that is what gets me up in the morning. Thank you

After reading your post, I have to say this: how do you know your son wants to be cured? If it where not for autism, I would not be the person that I am. Granted, I have problems, but thats a part of life. I have many talents, drawing and music being the most notable, and I beleive my autism is the reason for these abilities. Honestly, I read these posts and I hear all these mothers going on and on about a cure. Maybe your children cant communicate as well as I can, but I'm sure if you asked them, theyed tell you there happy just the way they are.
