My son squeals these high pitched squeals constantly all day from the time he wakes up until he goes to sleep. It is really upsetting and unnerving. Has anyone had a problem with this? Are there any medications I should look into to get him to stop this? He is 3 and he has no other autistic behaviors/stims that I can see. He is also not aggressive. His squeals are happy squeals but they are very inappropriate, especially when we go into public. His teacher at preschool has been working to stop it as well. I've tried saying "quiet mouth" showing him a sign, putting him in time out, putting him in his room. Nothing works!! HELP!

I dont really have any advice to give you but my son also used to squeal around that age.
He is going to be 8 in a few weeks and he stoped squealing a while ago. His squeals have now been replaced by what I call hooting it is in a lower voice and not anywhere near as hard on the ears!!

Hi does your son have sensitive hearing if so he could be makining his own noise to drown out the sounds he can hear,if you know what i mean, try ear muffs and see how he is then,
