My 3 1/2 yr old has autism. For some reason, he does not like me to clean. He gets the most aggressive when I am cleaning the kitchen. I was thinking about giving him small chores to keep him busy. Any advice on small chores that would not over-stimulate him but would keep him busy. I am tired of having a messy house. thanks

Consider what your son really enjoys doing; does he enjoy water play, singing, sorting, rummaging through your cabinets? (I know, the cabinet thing could be considered as doing more harm than good but..) finding a way to have him relaxed and busy while you do what you need to do may be a worthwhile first step. Good Luck.

my son loves to sweep, I give him a broom and let him go, it seems to help me get things done!
