Hey, I'm Kamex. What I was younger, I did not respond very often to those around me. As I got older, the problems seemed to decrease. I am now 16, and still have problems concentrating with my homeschool. Occasionally, I have "spacing out" problems where I am unable to concentrate on a task, and sometimes it gets so bad that I'm unable to read sentences unless they're really short and to the point. Often the only way to get it to stop is to sort of "disconnect" with everything for a while.
I still have memories of when the problem was worse, and I still have problems today. My mind tends to try and lock itself up when I get stressed out, and it's no wonder why. When I'm in that state I feel relaxed, happy, and free of the problems in life, and I'm glad I have that escape. At the same time, however, I'm happy that the problem is going away because of how awful it would be to be stuck in this state forever, unable to stop it. It must be so hard to be stuck like that, and it must be even harder for the parents who tell their kids they love them and don't hear anything back.
I am not a parent, so I'm not sure if I belong on this forum. Please tell me if it's better if I go elsewhere. I won't be offended. :)
